dreadlocks were created in the 1980s when hippies from the 70s who liked to smoke weed a lot started going to raves and they would build up a lot of sweat and body grime from dancing so hardcore on stimulant drugs so it would naturally contort their long, luscious flowing mane into dreadlocks and it was created by white people that is actually the origin of dreadlocks
