ceaughi-deactivated20120228 asked: Hey man. Is the meeting still on? Detroit or elsewhere? I've looked over your tumblr a bit, and it seems like you consider yourself a libertarian capitalist and do not consider working for wages a form of slavery. Is this correct? If so, why? Under what conditions would working for wages not be a form of slavery? I fail to see how under present circumstances - and going all the way back to the beginning of capitalism - working for a wage is not slavery. Disagreement over definition, perhaps?

I think the idea of meeeting at the coffee shop you suggested is good. As for your question on wage ‘slavery’, I don’t think its slavery because nobody is forcing you to work. TO admit wage labor is slavery would be, under the same logic, to call hunger a form of slavery. Am I a slave to my stomach because I have to eat every day in order to survive? It’s an insult to actual slaves if you ask me.
